Under 7’s
The 7’s unlucky yet again to be let down at the last minute, Poole Borough ringing through on Saturday to let us know that they would not be able to field a team for Sundays game, a great dissapointment to the boys, coaches and parents.
Under 8’s
After all the rain over the weekend and much anticipation the 8’s were given the go ahead to play against Burton at home, this was always going to be a good match because of previous history but the 8’s were confident fielding their strongest team for ages.
Quickly the 8’s were into their stride with Jamie and Jack chasing down the ball, giving Burton little time to settle with Jack going close hitting the bar. Burton struck back but Ryan and Joseph looked strong in defence with Corey and Dexter supporting. Again the 8’s attacked this was more like the Swans of old, closing down their players and passing the ball around. A free kick was awarded Corey going close,

then against the run of play Burton made a good break catching the defence knapping and slotting it past Zac in goal. From the kick off the 8’s pushed forward again with Jack being brought down in the box, Corey stepping up firing the ball into the net, good goal. Buton struck back forcing a corner and after some confusion in the box Zac making a good save. Then Dexter was brought down, Corey taking the free kick Jack and Jamie passing the ball well, Jamie just putting it wide. After some good defending the ball broke through Jack and Corey, Corey running the ball down the middle rounding the defence and firing the ball into the net. Then on the stoke of half time an exact replica run Corey through scoring but the goal dissallowed as judged to be scored after the whistle blown. Half Time Swans 2 Burton 1

the second half started where the 1st left off with both teams battling well, Burton with the biggest defender I’ve ever seen at this age pushing the Swans back into their half Ryan and now Rhys on for Dexter defending well Zac again making some good saves.

The midfield were working well as a team Joseph now in this position battling well, Corey and Jack making some good linking runs with Jamie and forcing Burton to defend deep. Joseph, Jack and Jamie all coming close to scoring. Then after some controversy from the Burton coach and parents over a decision by the ref, the Burton coach stopped the game pulling his team off the pitch and taking them home, much to the dismay of the Swans team and parents along with most of the Burton parents. This was a silly way to end what had been a good hard fought game between both teams, a shame for all the boys playing.

On the bright side it was good to see the Swans back fighting for the ball, closing players down and passing the ball around well, unlucky not to have scored more goals. Full time Swans 2 Burton 1 MOM Corey Jordan.
Under 10’s
With much of Dorset suffering rainfall deluges, our pitch was inspected & passed fit by the coaches this morning. The sun came out in time for kick off and the boys were raring to go.
Starting well with Mitch having early shot on goal, forcing good save from Milborne keeper. Good clearances from Josh P and Robert in defence and good passing through midfield by Swans. Boys did lots of talking and took their time on the ball when able, picking out good passes. Lots of play in midfield, with both teams defending well.
On 16 mins, deadlock was broken when Ollie slipped the ball past the goalie from a corner. Five mins later, Josh thwarted Milborne attack with an excellent save. Half-time 1-0 to Swans.

Keen to protect their lead, Swans came out battling with good tackling and defending from Ben. Superb passing in midfield between Kieren & Adam saw Swans gain a well deserved 2nd goal, blasted home by Adam.
Swans fail to clear Milborne throw-in, long range shot beat Josh at full stretch for their 1st goal on 37mins.Swans seem to be lacking energy but keep their heads up.

Last 5 mins of game, Swans backs against the wall, Josh makes stunning dive to make crucial save and have a mudbath! Swans finished on positive note with Mitch forcing another fine save from Milborne goalie.
Final score 2-1 to Swans, MoM given to Adam Morley for versatility and good all round play.

Well played all my team mates on sunday a good win shame we didn’t finish the game.
By the way Richard it was me that was fouled for the penalty.

First of well done boys on a well fought game, lots of Swans football played and nice to your happy faces with winning the game.
I’ve spoke to Bill, but well done on the way you handled the Burton lot,was quiet sad to see that a grown man could act like that,i thought i’d left that in the playground along time ago,not a nice way to end a good game played by BOTH teams.
Heres hoping the boys can carry on that kind of performance this week as well, with a good team performance.

Hi ya Adam, couldn’t agree more the under 10’s played really well, the team has come on leaps and bounds since the begining of the season and are more than capable of beating all the teams in the league. You had a really good match on Sunday and thoroughly deserved the MOM, well done.
The sites getting there still got quite a bit of work to do on it, just keep visiting.

    Hi Josh
Great to see your using the website, keep it up.
You’re right the 10’s are a completley different team since Andy & Bill took over earlier in the season, you all now play as a unit and you are more than capable of beating any team in that league, your results so far have been fantastic.
You seem to have found your position in goal and the matches I have watched you have been awesome, well done and keep the hard work going.
