Under 7’s
Another cold Sunday morning saw the young Swans travel to Canford Arena to play Branksome Utd a team who gave them many problems earlier in season during a home 1-1 draw. Branksome were in the middle of an eight game winning run and with the Young Guns down to the bare seven, this was going to be a tough test.
The home side started brightly on the soggy pitch and opened the scoring before the Young Swans could master the pitch. 1-0 Branksome. Gradually Callum and Bradley in midfield began to take hold of the game and began feeding Drew who was linking well with Danny up front. The soggy pitch played havoc with the passing game the Swans tried to play, in particular Drew found it hard to play his normal game. After a series of Swans corners, Callum fed Drew on the left and after some nifty footwork Drew crashed his shot off an upright, reacting first to the rebound, Drew then squared to Callum who shot home the equaliser 1-1. The remainder of the first half was played entirely in the home half as the the Young Guns pressed for a second goal. Half-Time 1-1.
The Young Swans started the second half like they finished the first by pressuring the home goal. Again Callum, Bradley and Drew were running the game and the home side had no answer to the Three Amigos. When Danny slotted home the Swans second from close range the writing was on the wall. 1-2 Swans. Bradley then made a winning tackle in midfield and easily beat two more players before playing a through ball to Callum who was in on goal. Callum kept his nerve and slipped the ball past the onrushing keeper for his second of the game 1-3 Swans. Branksome rallied and put some pressure on the Swans defence but William and George held firm. George in particular stopping Branksome attacks before they even got started. When the home side did eventually breach the Swans defence Michael was there to make the saves. Several more chances came the Swans way before the final whistle. Danny, Callum and Drew all having the best. Near the end a square ball from Drew was hit first time by Bradley, the ball looped high in the air and into the net for the Swans fourth. Final Score Branksome 1 Swans 4. Scorers : Callum (2) Danny, Bradley. MOM George.

The swans went into the match looking for at least one point. We started the game well with Jamie hitting a scorcher into the top corner of the bs grange net 1-0 swans. After that the swans conceded two unlucky goals from close range and |Josh might as well have said bye-bye to the ball as it hit the goal and put them ahead . Then the swans played some good passing with the ball with Josh Peaty launched it into their goal. half time swans 2-2 bs grange .In the second half Josh Smith came out of goal and Robert took his place. He kicked a long ball which the opposition intercepted and Robert stood no chance in saving the goal and the 10s fell behind for the second time in the match . Later in the half the swans worked some good passing with some good crosses from Adam and Mitchell that were almost turned home. A late goal kick for bs grange saw a clever chip over Robert and the game was then finished Full Time swans 2-4 bs grange MOM Josh Peaty for playing amazing in the first half.
