This week saw the 8’s in a rearranged match against the team they first played at the start of the season, that game ended with the Swans beating Everton but with a lot of water under the bridge, Everton having developed into a good side and a completely different Swans side to the side that started the season so many weeks ago this was going to be a good match. It was a very blustery day the Swans having the wind with them and it soon would tell with Corey, Jack, Jamie and Zac all coming close to scoring but the Everton keeper pulled of some fantastic saves to keep them in the game.

The Swans were camping in Evertons half but just couldn’t put the ball in the back of the net, Jaya and Yan were having a good game in defence, Yan making some important and well timed tackles to thwart Evertons advances. Against the run of play Everton managed to score the Swans caught out at the back poor Thomas making only his second start in goal unable to stop the ball. HT Swans 0 Everton .
The second half saw the Swans under pressure with Everton using the wind well and soon they were 2-0 up. Jordan and Dexter now on in defence were finding it hard to deal with the windy conditions and with the midfield pushed back to help out the Swans were struggling. Everton scored their 3rd and this looked like a landslide but the Swans dug deep and strung together some good passes but the Everton Keeper was stopping everything. The Swans advanced once more and Corey blasted from distance to give the Swans hope. The Swans now with second breath were pushing Everton back Jack, Corey,Zac & Jamie passing and moving the ball well and with minutes to go were rewarded, Zac striking the ball into the Everton goal.
The Swans pushed hard for the equaliser but were unable to get it running out of time. This had been a cracking game with the new Swans starting to show some good potential and probably their best display so far, ,Everton’s keeper keeping them in the match

The Swan’s started with positive play, attacking the Corfe Castle goal straight from kick off. With good running down the wings by Adam & Sonny, the ball was laid off to Ollie whose shot just went wide. Robert pushed forward to help the attack, with Ollie moving to cover at the back. Josh Smith in goal, put the ball through to Adam who passed to Mitch forcing a save from the keeper. When Corfe made any attacks, our lines were safely cleared by Ben and Robert, with Ollie in support. Bradley tested their goalie with a fantastic lob, unlucky not to score. Ollie made a superb save with his head, off the line, preventing a certain goal. Go ‘Header Hills!’ Some good saves by Josh S in goal, safely gathering a free kick, just before half time. Half-time 0-0.
Most of the 2nd half was end to end football, both teams attacking and defending well. Mitch had a good shot on goal, forcing a save. Good passing from Robert and Josh Peaty, pushing Corfe into their own half for long periods. Josh constantly challenging for possession, put a great ball through to Adam who just could not get the ball past their goalie. Ollie and Adam both shot wide just before the final whistle. Final score 0-0 MOM Ben Richmond.

Yes, he is feeling much better now. He’s bandaged up & learning to walk
