Sunday saw the young Swans travel to Hamworthy in Poole for the earliest kick off they’ve ever had. It was so early that Dancing Bob Luckwell still had on his white suit from the previous nights Dance Off at the Old folks rest home in Highcliffe( he came 3rd for anyone that’s interested).
The game started brightly with some end to end play, Bradley and Drew doing most of the industrious work for the Swans. Bradley hit the post after a great forceful run and Drew had a goal disallowed(quite rightly) for an incorrectly taken goal kick. Louie had some great chances but the Poole Borough keeper was in great form. Poole had some pressure but the Swans defence once again showed how mean they were with some great tackles and positional play from William, Matthew and George. Half through the first half, the Swans changed formation in an attempt to get support to Louie up front, Callum replaced George and lined up in midfield, with Drew pushing forward to support Louie. Half-Time: 0-0
The second half began in much the same way as the first, end to end stuff. George replaced Matthew in defence as the Swans pushed for a goal. Both Drew and Callum having shots blocked and William going close. Louie also got in on the act but just couldn’t find that killer touch. It was not all one way traffic though and Poole Borough were forcing the play at the other end but once again the defence held firm. After a series of Poole corners, Drew broke away on the left and passed to Louie who was in on goal and this time he made no mistake, the Swans were 1-0 up with Louie’s 5th goal in three games.
George replaced Bradley who was tiring but the Swans couldn’t get the vital second goal, some great defence near the end prevented an equaliser and the Swans hung on for victory. All credit to both sets of players for playing a thoroughly entertaining match. Final Score Swans 1 Poole Borough 0.

With a bare 7 players this was going to be a hard game with NF riding high in the league and full of confidence, Coaches Richard & Alan instructing the boys to go out and just enjoy the game and not worry about the result. The swans opened the play with some good attacking play, NF responding but the Swans were coping well with Corey and Jaya picking up the ball in defence and clearing it forward. Yan had instructions to keep tight to NF’s No 9 which he did well making it hard for NF to make any runs down the wing. Jack Zac & Jamie were passing the ball well and had a couple of attempts on goal.
8's v nf1
NF were finding it hard to break down the Swans defence with good covering play from Jack, Dexter having little to do with NF’s shots all going wide. Towards the end of the 1st half Jamie picked up a loose ball from NF and shot from a good 20 yards out chipping over the NF keeper for a great goal.HT NF 0 – Swans 1
8's v nf3
. This half saw the Swans struggle with NF pushing hard for a goal with several shot just going wide. The Swans got caught out to far up field leaving poor Jaya to defend against 3 players NF scoring their 1st. With the swans hunting for another goal tragedy struck with Jamie having to come off due to a thigh strain from a strong challenge. Now the Swans were under the cosh and tiring quickly. The swans midfield not tracking back left Corey and Jaya exposed and NF put 3 quick goals pass Dexter who had no chance.
8's v nf2
With nothing to lose now Corey pushed forward and the swans came close to scoring several times. Jamie came on for the last few minutes but the damage had been done by NF and although the Swans still pushed forward looking for a goal the result stayed the same to the end FT NF 4 Swans , MOM Jamie. The Swans had played some great football against a good side and were by far the better team in the 1st half, had they had a couple of subs the score line would defiantly been different, well played boys and especially Jamie for coming back on to help even though he wasn’t 100%.

12's v poole1
This was the 12’s 1st full match, a friendly against an established Poole town side. On a very windy day the weather was going to be a contributing factor to the final result, the boys would play 2x 30mins & 2x 15 mins, a good test for them. The 1st quarter saw the swans battling against the wind and they were soon having to defend with Poole pushing early for a quick lead but our back 4 defended well and Scott in goal made a couple of brave stops. The boys were coping well with the offside rule at the back but were getting caught out at the front.
12's v poole2
With some good runs down the wings by Conner J & Josh C the swans had a couple of chances on goal and with Poole not finishing their chances this quarter finished 0-0. With the wind behind them and a slight change in formation the Swans were having a good go at the Poole goal forcing several saves and shooting just wide. Robert & Sonny from the U10’s were giving a couple of the 12’s a deserved rest and the boys were using Conner J to make some good runs down the right wing putting in some good crosses, Lewis getting on the end of one to score his 1st.
12's v poole4
The boys linking well through the middle enabled Alex to net a good goal and soon Lewis was there again with a good finish to net his 2nd. This quarter was all Swans who were proving to strong for Poole with the wind advantage. Scott having little to do and when Poole did get up field Johnny Harry Robert Conner B and Chris dealt with them quickly. This quarter finished Poole 0 swans 3. The next quarter saw the Swans defending against the wind playing an excellent game of defence limiting Poole’s chances of attack but when they did break through Scott made a couple of great saves. Matt Kyle Alex Josh and Conner N all back on were holding well in midfield supporting the defence and getting the ball to Josh S up front who had a couple of chances but shot high and wide into the wind, this quarter finished Poole 0 Swans 3 The final quarter with the Swans with the wind advantage again saw another change in formation with Josh C moving up field, Lewis,  Matt & Chris back on and the Swans went on the search of more goals, pinning Poole back into their half Lewis Squandering a couple of good chances before netting his 3rd for his hat-trick.
12's v poole3
The Swans were camped in Poole’s half now with Conner J, Josh C, Kyle all shooting just wide. Harry now pushed right forward for a corner picked the ball up on the edge of the box a drilledhome a good goal before Josh S finished the onslaught with a good finish. Final Score Poole 0 Swans 6, MOM Was a hard call with all the boys giving 100% but it was decided to give it to Matt who didn’t stop chasing the ball all match giving 110%, well deserved. This had been a great start for our new team playing against an established 11’s team this result was by far better than most of us thought would be the outcome, but proved that all the hard practice these boys had put in since they formed a few months ago, had paid off. All the team played excellent and with a bit more practice on the offside rule have the foundations of a good team, role on the next friendly
