Last Sunday saw the Swans play their first game in the new 2007/08 season. Hordle Spurs were the visitors. The game was rescheduled from the normal 11am home start, to 14:00hrs to accommodate Sky Sports and the huge expected crowd. Half-time entertainment was provided by Billy Bob Luckwell and his troop of break dancing champions. A big thanks to Bob and I hope the swelling has gone down.
 

The Swans were playing in the new fashionable Orange and Black kit, sponsored by Accolade Windows and lined up with new signings, Izzy and Sam on the bench. Drew captained the side, Callum was pushed forward into attack, to partner Louie with Bradley and William providing the backbone of the side in midfield and centre defence. Michael once again took his place in goal.
 

In a one sided match the Swans ran out easy winners at 12-0. There were hat-tricks for Drew, Bradley and a 4 goal blitz from Callum. The scoring was completed by single strikes from Louie and Danny.
 

There were some great individual performances, notably from Sam which deservedly earned him MOM. Izzy provided cover in defence and had a solid game while Danny started in defence and pushed Sam all the way for the MOM award. George completed the line up and performed well with some good positional play.
 

This was a brilliant start for the boys who were naturally delighted with the result. Both Rob and I were delighted with performance and hope this can set them up for the rest of the season.
