The Mudeford Swans YFC are a friendly local community youth football club formed in 2005
We are a Committee run club run entirely by volunteers with an aim to provide enjoyable football at a realistic cost for the youth in our local community and surrounding areas.
Since it’s birth the club now boasts 6 teams playing in the Bournemouth Youth Football Leagues, the U8’s, U9’s, U10’s, U12’s, U14’s & U16’s.
We also have U5’s, U6’s & U7’s teams which we will continue to develop in line with the new FA guide lines of non competitive football through training and local organised football matches..
This year we will also be looking to gain FA Charter Status which will help continue the development of the club for the future.
Training takes place at Somerford Primary School every Saturday between 9:00am and 12:00am
Under 11’s - Under 15’s, 9:00am - 10:30am
Under 6’s - Under 10’s, 10:30am - 12:00am

Directions to Home Pitches & Training Ground
From Bournemouth
Take the A35 to Christchurch as you come into to Christchurch you will come to the Fountain round-a-bout, take the 2nd exit staying on the A35 towards Lyndhurst/ Lymington. At the next Roundabout (Stoney Lane) take the third exit and continue to next round-a-bout, take the 1st left into Somerford Rd.
For SOMERFORD PRIMARY SCHOOL - continue for approx 400yards and take 1st left, up slight incline bearing right and entrance to Somerford Primary school is just past the 1st turning left and the ambulance station. You will see a large open green gate to the top left of car park and pitches are to the back of the school.
For MUDEFORD JUNIOR SCHOOL - continue for approx 400yards and turn right into Sandown road, continue along and the road becomes Mudeford Lane, continue along and Mudeford Junior School is on your left.
For THE GRANGE SCHOOL - continue for approx 400yards and take 1st left, up slight incline bearing right and take the 1st turning left into Draper Road, continue along over the speed humps to end of road, as the road bears left the entrance to the Grange School is on the right. The pitches are to the right of the car park behind the tennis courts.
For MUDEFORD WOOD - At Stoney Lane round-a-bout continue along the A35 towards Lyndhurst/Lymington until you come to the Sainsburys round-a-bout, take the 2nd exit following the signs for Lymington/Highcliffe, continue along and at the next round-a-bout take the third exit into The Runway, continue along and take the 2nd turning on your right into Brabazon Drive, Follow the signs for Mudeford Wood Community Centre, the pitch is behind the community centre.
From Ringwood
Leave the A31 exit into Ringwood town Centre ( if leaving A31 from the West take 3rd exit off underpass round-a-bout, if leaving A31 for east, take 1st exit after slip road) contiue to 1st roundabout take 2nd exit and continue to next round-a-bout, take 1st exit to next round-a-bout and take 2nd exit pass brewery and police station. Stay on this road the A338 for approx 9miles you will go under a railway bridge and then you will come to a large round-a-bout (stoney Lane) take the 2nd exit towards Purewell/ Mudeford, Continue to next round-a-bout, take 1st exit into Somerford Rd.

Take the A3062 from Lymington to Christchurch, go past New Milton until you come to a round-a-bout at the top of Highcliffe take the 1st exit towards Highcliffe / Christchurch, continue on the A3062 until you come to a round-a-bout take 2nd exit and continue to next round-a-bout take 1st exit into Somerford Rd.
For SOMERFORD PRIMARY SCHOOL - continue and take the 3rd turning right (opposite Total Garage) then 1st left. Entrance to Somerford Primiary School is 100yards on right just before the ambulance station. You will see a large open green gate to the top left of the car park, the pitches are to the back of the school.
For MUDEFORD JUNIOR SCHOOL - continue along Somerford Road past the Total garage and take the 2nd left into Sandown road, continue along and the road becomes Mudeford Lane, continue along and Mudeford Junior School is on your left.
